Save the date for The Mutt Strutt, a walk for Animal Rescue, Inc., happening this Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 9AM to 2PM at Marge Goodfellow Park (1 Playground Alley) in New Freedom, PA!
Bring your furry friend and join us on the YCR Trail for a 2-mile walk for the animals! The walk includes a scavenger hunt for a chance to win prizes.
Then, stay at the park for games, basket and 50/50 raffles, adoptable dogs, a flea market, pet photos, sales and tasty food!
We’re celebrating 50 years of rescuing animals in need. Help make a difference today by fundraising for The Mutt Strutt!

Do I need to participate in the walk, or do the whole walk that day?
NOPE! You can come do the whole walk, part of the walk or simply come to check out the rest of the event and cheer walkers on!
When should I arrive?
Registration for the walk begins at 9AM and the walk begins at 10AM. The entire event goes until 2PM! So you can walk and/or check out all the other fun things we have going on that day!

Do I have to bring a dog to the walk?
We’d love to see pups at this event but if you don’t have a dog or your dog cannot attend for other reasons, that’s ok! Bring a human friend and enjoy!
Is there an admission fee?
There is a $25 minimum donation to participate in the walk. There is no fee to come to the event itself. However, all donations benefits the pets at Animal Rescue, Inc.!
What else should I know?
No dogs in heat. Regular leashes only – no flexi-leads. Please be prepared to clean up after your pet.
